Finally done! What you see before you is the cumilation of many weeks of work.
Anyway. I've been playing lots of Terraria lately. While playing, I thought 'wouldn't it be great if you could add your own character designs to the game.' I cast my mind out for character designs that would look good in Terraria, and almost immeaditely settled on DreamKeepers
And then I thought, 'Well, there's many ways to mod Terraria. Maybe I could try this myself.' And so I began.
I searched around for modding tools and settled on using tAPI. Even though it's still in development, it sounds like a well-supported platform for modding Terraria. I've already made a fair bit of progress with the coding of the mod, but it still has some issues, so I won't release it untill I have these sorted out and tAPI has had a proper release. In the meadtime, enjoy these animations.
The keen-eyed Terraria fans may spot that I've put some of the detail on the half-pixel. See, all ingame pixels are actually 2x2 pixels large in the files, probably so that they can scale and rotate them without loosing clarity. I've avoided putting too much detail on the half-pixel, but some times it can't be helped. Sorry if I dissapointed any Terraria purists out there, but that's the decision that I made.
I know whip is a little bit large compared to the others, but I couldn't make him much smaller without loosing detail. His tail's also a bit short. I don't know how wide i can make the sprites, so that's how long I've made it. I may be able to lengthen it later on.
Look. You can see them in the game at last. here.
