This was supposed to be a simple 'parent swap' test. It ended up taking over three months.
I wanted to work out how to change the parent of an object and have it move interdependently of it's parent at different points of the timeline. Like so many other things, it took much longer than I expected. But apart from one major error
where I almost lost the whole thing, this animation went smoothly.
The most time-consuming part was animating his hands. I used Inverse Kinematics for most of this animation, but in hindsight it would have been quicker to do most of it in Forward Kinematics. Live and Learn
Edit: is it just me or have they changed the background colour again? Great. Now I need to change the backgrounds of all my past animations. Eventually...
